Incident Response Team
Volunteer Applications
Kinky Con , NH, Wicked Weekend
Nov 14-16, 2025
Nashua, NH
This application is for KCNH volunteer consideration as part of IRT: a con-wide, mental health, crisis-management, guest support and consultation team. Most team members hold a state license of some kind or are enrolled in pre-licensure education.
IRT collaborates with security, internal medical, and dungeon monitor teams. Sarah Revels, LCMHC, aka Kinky_Counselor, provides 24/7 supervision and support for IRT shifts, which run with a minimum of two Members. When not actively on a call team members may attend any or all aspects of the con, and they have admission for the whole date they volunteer a shift.
For more information on the scope of IRT see either the “Skills & Scope Survey” in the application or the image “Scope of IRT - Stuff happens, they call us.”
You do NOT need to already be an expert in gender/sexuality/relationship diversity (GSRD) to serve on IRT. You do need a respectful, open mind. Part of the mission of the KCNH IRT is to educate clinical, education and human service and other professionals on these areas of diversity through welcoming them at no-cost to the convention, and to connect GSRD minorities to safer, more informed resources for clinical and other services in their day-to-day lives. KCNH is a gender, sexuality and relationship diversity (GSRD) convention, with emphasis on kink, BDSM and relationship education. It's an excellent "intro" convention for professionals seeking to become culturally competent with GSR diversity, with a "light dungeon," (no sex) and high-quality, safety and diversity education.
There are 2 ways to participate in IRT & the application will walk you through the process:
If you have your KCNH ticket(s), you may volunteer one IRT shift to fulfill your weekend volunteer requirement.
If you do not have KCNH ticket(s), it will be assumed you’d like one shift each day you indicate availability, and are hoping to attend as many days as possible this way.
Services rendered within IRT capacity do not constitute medical care, or an ongoing agreement to provide treatment.
Sarah is an LGBTQIA, Gender-Transition, and Kink/Poly/BDSM-Informed Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor.
Gender, attraction, sexual expression and values of love don't need to be WHAT you want to work ON, (I mean, we can do that too if you want) but no matter what you want to work on, you know Sarah understands a spectrum of experiences and you can share freely, or ask for help, without judgement. "Kinky Counselor" is simply the cheeky name Sarah goes by in GSRD spaces, where nicknames are common. It's one way Sarah chooses to be "out" as a GSR minority.
Depending on your specific need, if you are seeking sex-therapy (NOT sexual surrogacy - which Sarah does not practice), Sarah may be able to provide your treatment, or an excellent referral to an AASECT-Certified Sex Therapist, licensed in your state.
See Sarah's listing on Kink Aware Professionals organization website for more information about kink-aware services at this office. www.kapprofessionals.org/business-directory-3/sarah-v-revels-lcmhc/
Human sexuality is a topic Sarah has taught at the graduate level in-person and online, consulted for other professionals around, and presented on as continuing education workshops for years.
